"Great work. I just got Eternal Night three days ago and I only seem to put it
down to sleep...I love it, it's an amazing book. I can't wait to read the other two."
Re: Fractured
Fairytales: "I must admit, though I did not sign up my two children for the class, my older girls really LOVED it, and
my smaller child has already drawn pictures of her 'book' she is writing. So you have definitely made quite a positive
impression with the children. Thanks again and I wish you the best of success."
Re: Dragon
Slayer: "I saw that this is the first book of your new series Vampire Tomes. When and how can I get a copy of
it? It looks really good. I just ordered your first book and I can't wait for it to come in."
"Hi Jessica.
Please let us know when your new book becomes available. It sounds like it's going to be another good one!"
"Hi Jessica,
I finally made time to check out your web site. Nice job! I didn't know that you had written and traveled so much.
I am very impressed with your web site and all of the books that you have written and what you have accomplished. Keep
It Up!"
"Hi there,
I just searched my name in Yahoo and found, to my great surprise, that it's the name of a vampire character in your novels.
What's funny is that I'm of Native American and French descent, I have long (not quite waist-length) brown hair, dark brown
eyes, and 'an affinity for leather jackets'. Don't own a Harley, though. Thought you might find that amusing.
Cheers!"
"I was so
pleased to read about your literary accomplishments in the April 7th (2004) issue of Metro South Plus. Your writing
career certainly has proven to be another Bay Path alumni success story! I look forward to purchasing your third book,
The Legendary, when it comes out later this month. I am sure I will find this one just as thrilling as the others."
"Hello Jessica,
I happened to stumble upon your website today and found it rather interesting. I am actually from Chatham Cape Cod and
found your writing about our tiny little town very intriguing. You seem to know a lot about the town and its landmarks.
What made you think of using Chatham in your books? I think that it is wonderful that you put the Cape in your writing
and I plan to check out The Legendary next time I am in Barnes and Noble. Good luck to you."
"Miss Barone,
I have a confession to make. One week ago today, I had never heard the name Jessica Barone. Then my girlfriend
handed me your book, Eternal Night. I used to enjoy horror novels almost exclusively when I was a bit younger.
Matheson, Rice, Barker, King, I read them almost religiously. However, when I, somewhat reluctantly, became an adult
and started taking college courses and working full-time my days became filled with reading and re-reading Dickens, Coleridge,
Blake, etc. Not that I minded, but I did miss reading something a tad darker, with a little more edge to it. Something
dark and beautiful. I really enjoyed your novel. It was wonderful. I'm looking forward to the rest of the
series now. I'm reading through a lot of the novels left over from my teens now, all those Lovecraft stories my English
teachers would roll their eyes about. It's greatness. Your novel is beautifully written and it reminded me to
stop and breathe deeply every now and then, to enjoy life and what I read rather than just plunging ahead and trying to get
through it all."
"Hi Jessica!
I just finished The Legendary. Wow! Absolutely phenomenal. I have grown to love Jason through The Requiem
and I'm so happy he is finally at peace and happy. Excellent job done. Thank you. I can't wait until
your next books come out. Keep up the good work. Your fan forever."
"Hi Jessica,
thanks once again for reading at the library (Hatch Library, Bay Path College, 2002). Several students mentioned later
that the reading was great! They enjoyed the way you read and were really drawn into your story. It sounds as
if you've found some new readers."
Re: Eternal
Night: "I LOVE your book. Absolutely LOVE it! I'm not quite done with it yet. I'm on page 265 I think,
and I'm dreading to know what is going to happen."
Re: The
Requiem: "I finished your book finally! Very good. I liked the way Jason spoke in the book and I didn't think
he was as evil as he seemed in the first one. I mean evil in a good way."
"Congratulations Jessica! I'm so happy for
you. I read the article about your first book, Eternal Night becoming published. That's wonderful! I look
forward to reading your book and going to your first book signing!"
